Recommendation letter

REGISTRATION INFORMATION (2021/2022- 2^nd Semester)

• Number of positions for Master studies: 30 positions (22 regular positions and 8 for the program “ação alternativa”).

• Number of positions for Doctoral studies: 17 positions (13 regular positions  and 4 for the program “ação alternativa”).

• Registration period: April 12 to May 31, 2022.

1. Registration Formavailable at the site of the program (http://www.est.ufmg.br/portal/pos-graduacao/mestrado-doutorado/2-uncategorised/32-english-version)
2. Copy of the undergraduate diploma (or an equivalent document) issued by an official establishment or officially recognized, or a document that confirms that the candidate is in conditions of obtaining the undergraduate title until the date of the registration. The candidate should bring the original  document if he/she enters the course;
3. University transcript of the undergraduate course;
4. Copy of the Master degree diploma and Master transcript if it exists;
5. Curriculum vitae;
6. Letter of the institution where the candidate works, when applicable, presenting the candidate, as well as a letter of approval of the institution for the candidate to attend the PhD course, or a term of commitment presented by the candidate;
7. 02 letters of recommendation(form available in http://www.est.ufmg.br/portal/pos-graduacao/mestrado-doutorado/2-uncategorised/32-english-version)
8. Background check document from his/her country;
9. Copy of the passport.
10. For Doctoral Candidates. One Cover Letter, with a maximum of 10 (ten) pages, reporting their scientific interests, their academic experiences of research and the main scientific contributions of his master's thesis, if any, and published articles and results obtained and not yet published of scientific projects.

At the registration, the candidate will receive a registration number.

- Exams

• Portuguese and Foreign language tests: The candidate can comprove the proficiencies in Portuguese and English through internationally known certificates.  English Certificates such as TOEFL(Test of English as a Foreing Language), Cambridge nível FCE (First Certificate of English) or IELTS (International English Language Test) are accepted. Other certificates should be evaluated  and needs approval from  the Coordination to be accepted.

- Enrollment:The admission process occurs every year.

• Period for prior registration in the DRCA (Item 8.1 Edital): July 18 to July 25, 2022 (Exclusively, fulling the form at https://sistemas.ufmg.br/cadastroprevio) .
• Deadline for sending legible copies of the documentation to the Office of the Graduate Program (Item 8.2, Edital):  August 05, 2022.
• Foreign applicants must comply with item 8.4 of the call by 05 de agosto de 2022.
